What does SBU mean to you?
SBU changed my life.
Tips for success during graduate school at SBU:
My master's degree is from SBU! While in graduate school, I worked full-time in a position requiring substantial traveling. Organization and communication were key to both. One of the main reasons I wanted to work in Graduate and Worldwide Admissions was to have a platform like this to tell everyone about the opportunities here. SBU’s professors designed these programs with working professionals like you and me in mind.

What does SBU mean to you?
At SBU, I discovered who the Lord is and who He says I am through courses like Old Testament, New Testament, and Spiritual Formation. I gained a quality education while deepening my faith. I am forever grateful for my time at SBU!
Tips for success during graduate school at SBU:
Buy the planner. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Designate a study spot to get work done.
Tips for success during online classes at SBU:
Reach out and connect with fellow students. Reach out to faculty when questions arise. Come to as many on-campus events as you can!

SBU is exemplified in its mission statement.  SBU is a caring, Christ-centered, academic community full of faculty who will come alongside you to see you fulfill God's purpose for your life.  Even through an online program of study, our faculty and staff care about you and your success as an online student.
What career would a degree in Health Sciences benefit?
A degree in Health Sciences prepares you to enter the healthcare world through a variety of career paths.  A bachelor's degree in Health Science is a great launch into an advanced degree in Physical Therapy, Physician Assisting, Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Administration, or Pharmacy.  An associate's degree in Health Science is a great foundation for a career in Clinic Management, Electronic Health Care, or Ancillary Healthcare Services.

What are your tips for college seniors applying to SBU's DPT program?
You can (and should) apply now and add your transcripts later. Meaning you do not have to wait to apply until your prerequisite classes are finished. This includes your GRE scores as well! The DPT application at SBU is a working document.
What can a student expect when they sign up for a DPT visit?
A visit is a perfect time to come, have conversations with faculty and students, have all your questions answered, tour our amazing facility, and leave excited to return! A DPT visit is not an interview. This is meant to be a fun experience!
